A Huge Thank You To Widdington
A Personalised Touch Of Class From The Staff
Shooting at Widdington has always been really good fun; it has a great variety of stands and some challenging targets. Several weeks ago, we went, and the last stand malfunctioned. The staff came out immediately, and it wasn’t going to be a quick fix. Instead of shooting 1 of 2 traps, the staff went out and operated the trap manually in a safe manner so that we could complete our round, which was exceptional customer service.
We visited again today with one of our newest members who is disabled and in a wheelchair. This was recognised by the staff before we even got to the clubhouse and they offered him the opportunity to drive his car around the ground. Also noticing that he would need to build his chair upon arriving at each stand, they offered their services to drive him around the stands in their UTV.
Accompanied by a member of staff who assisted him all the way round the difficult stands, also joining in with advice and a good bit of banter. Once the terrain got easier, we carried on under our own steam, but yet again another level of service was reached with the team offering us a radio so that if we were to get into any trouble, we could contact them and they would be straight out to assist.
We as a club would like to extend our most sincere gratitude to all the team at Widdington, as this really did go above and beyond. We will certainly be spreading the word about this ground for its shooting, but most of all its friendlyness, kindness and a level of service that you just don’t normally see.
